IMANI CHILDREN'S HOME

Imani Children’s home was founded in 1992 and has grown from a home of 20 children to an institution catering for an average of 300 children who are managed in Imani 6 homes. The main Imani Centre is located in Kayole, Nairobi. On 4th August, the GTBank Family represented by 10 members of staff visited the home with donations comprising of foodstuff, toiletries and clothes from staff and the Bank. Further to this, a sponsorship amounting to Kes 61,500/= was presented to the home, in support of the walk from Nairobi to Meru that was aimed at raising funds for an ongoing project in Malindi. The project provides an exit strategy for our abled-differently children who for various reasons did not get the opportunity to exit the Centre through either adoption, family re-integration or foster care. It was a great day where staff interacted with the children and engaged in activities including feeding the children aged between 0 and 3 years and helping with laundry work. We called it a day with a meal courtesy of the home.
