RESCUE DADA CENTER - Donation of Dining and Classroom Furniture and Stationery

Rescue Dada Center is a girls' rehabilitation center, located off Park Road in Nairobi County. The Center was established in 1992 with the aim of fulfilling the rights of street children living in Nairobi. The Center carries out an annual program that focuses on protecting and empowering street girls and thereafter reintegrating them back into the community. Each year, the Center admits a maximum of 70 girls ranging between 5 to 16 years for the rehabilitation program. On 13th March 2020, the GTBank Family represented by 15 members of staff visited the home, for a donation exercise that saw the Bank make a face-lift to the institution's Early Childhood Development (ECD) classroom and common dinning room, with brand new customized furniture. The donation project aimed at improving the quality of life and education of the girls as they undergo the program. The Bank also donated stationery and clothes and shoes that were donated by compassionate members of staff. On this day, staff were engaged in several activities with the girls including; entertainment presentations, mentorship sessions and finally sharing of snacks before they called it a day. It was a day well spent.
