Simply look for the contactless symbol on any compatible Point-of-Sale terminal. Tap your GTBank MasterCard on the machine and your payment will be instantly processed.

How It Works

At checkout, customer holds card next to POS terminal (4 cm or less from where the contactless logo appears). If the transaction amount is below the set limit, no PIN is needed and transaction is completed.

Otherwise, PIN is required to complete the transaction.

Note

Maximum limit on each transaction is KES 4,000
Maximum number of transactions in a day is 3
Total cumulative tap and pay limit amount per day is KES 12,000.

Also, please note that while payment terminals offer the option to pay with Tap & Go technology, there is still the option to pay by using Chip & PIN to complete a transaction of any value within your daily transaction limits.
