On the 21st of July 2023, GTBank sponsored the launch of the Joshua Irungu Foundation. The foundation aims to address various needs of Laikipia County residents, including enhancing water supply, providing renewable energy solutions, supporting youth through skills development and sports, and promoting enterprise development for women and youth.
The Joshua Irungu Foundation was established with the vision of improving the livelihoods of Laikipia County residents by tackling key challenges faced by the community. The foundation's initiatives are aligned with GTBank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, which emphasizes support for projects that promote sustainable development and social impact.
GTBank responded to the foundation's sponsorship request by making a donation of KES 130,000 towards the launch event. This contribution went towards hiring tents and grounds, ensuring the success of the foundation's inaugural event. By sponsoring the launch, GTBank demonstrated its commitment to supporting initiatives that positively impact communities and contribute to their well-being.
In addition to sponsoring the launch, GTBank proposed to engage the Joshua Irungu Foundation in a long-term partnership. Through this partnership, the Bank aims to support initiatives related to water and sanitation, as well as arts and sports, in line with its CSR policy. By collaborating with the foundation on these initiatives, GTBank seeks to create sustainable solutions that address critical needs and foster positive change in Laikipia County.
